Fourth Quarter Reflection

________________________ Entry #23 ________________________ Fourth Quarter Reflection     During this last and final quarter of junior high school, I gained new knowledge and strengthened the skills that I will help me in my journey through senior high school. I learned more about different concepts in my subjects and how they can be applied in real-life situations. I also discovered that learning is not only about memorizing information but also about understanding ideas and using them to solve problems.     There were also some challenges that I encountered during this quarter. Because of our preparations for the High School Day, we needed to rush our requirements for our different subjects. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed because of all the things that I needed to do.     To overcome these challenges, I tried to stay focused and manage my time well. I sorted my assignments based on how hard they are and how long they wi...

Two Dreams, One Future

________________________ Entry #21 ________________________ Two Dreams, One Future      As this school year is coming to a close, my dream for the future is still something I am trying to figure out. I find myself torn between careers, becoming a doctor or becoming an engineer. Both careers inspire me in different ways, and thinking about them makes me excited but also a little unsure about which one I should choose.      On one hand, becoming a doctor would allow me to help people. Doctors save lives, care for the sick, and bring hope to families during difficult times. I admire the dedication and compassion that doctors show to their patients. The idea of being able to heal others and make a difference in someone’s life makes the profession very meaningful to me.      On the other hand, engineering also interests me because it involves math and problem-solving. Engineers design and build things that improve the way people live, from...

Celebrating Valentine's Day with the People Who Matter Most

Image
________________________ Entry #20 ________________________ Celebrating Valentine's Day with the People Who Matter Most Valentine’s Day is commonly known as a day to share love not only with someone special but also with our family. While many people celebrate the occasion through romantic dates and gifts, we shouldn't leave out our families as well. Family love is constant and unconditional, making Valentine’s Day more meaningful when spent together. After our card day on Valentine's Day, we went outside to eat and celebrate. We shared meals, talked about our daily experiences, and enjoyed simple bonding moments. Even without grand celebrations or expensive presents, being together created happiness and strengthened our relationship as a family. This experience reminded me that love does not always need flowers or chocolates to be felt. Simple actions such as sharing food, laughing together, and showing appreciation already express genuine care. Celebrating Valentine’...

The Ilocos Sur Festival

________________________ Entry #19 ________________________ The Ilocos Sur Festival      The Ilocos Sur Festival is one of the most exciting celebrations in the province of Ilocos Sur. Celebrated every February in connection with the province’s founding anniversary, the festival gathers different municipalities to showcase their culture, traditions, products, and tourism through colorful street dances and cultural presentations.      During the celebration, I experienced the lively atmosphere of the festival, especially the Longganisa Festival, which highlighted one of Ilocos Sur’s famous local delicacies. I saw participants wearing creative costumes inspired by longganisa while performing energetic dances along the streets. The aroma of grilled longganisa filled the area as many food stalls offered local dishes and snacks. It was enjoyable to witness how food, culture, and celebration were combined to promote local identity and pride.   ...

The city transforms into a festive atmosphere when residents and tourists unite to celebrate St. Paul, who serves as Vigan's protector. The city center streets display festive decorations while live music and traditional activities create a vibrant atmosphere that showcases the city's cultural heritage and religious dedication.      The celebration included various concerts, which I found enjoyable during my visit. The artists and performers from the local community created a musical experience that brought excitement to the night. People of all ages gathered to watch, sing along, and celebrate together. The concerts showed how the community unites through music and entertainment...
