Another Quarter Completed
This 2nd quarter has been such a blast! Through our thematic project about tourist spots, we had an amazing time visiting scenic places and discovering new experiences. It was truly a quarter filled with unforgettable memories, fun, and laughter. Even during times when I felt stressed or unmotivated, I was reminded that I have my classmates by my side, always ready to support me.
One thing that I have discovered is that being able to pass assignments on time without cramming feels refreshing. I have always been cramming tasks given by teachers due to procrastination. But one time, I convinced myself to finish a project that I was about to procrastinate on, and it turned out better than if I had rushed it before passing. I was then able to do whatever in class, as I did not have to worry about rushing it.Even if I know how better it is not to procrastinate doing assignments, I still do it anyway. If I were about to do a task before the deadline, I would end up losing motivation to do it and cram it right before the deadline. This has been troubling for me as I end up not having time to review for tests that I have because of my procrastination. I could perform better in school if it weren't for this problem.
To help me with this problem, one strategy that I try to use is to reward myself. If I do a task before the deadline of a project, I give myself something in return. The reward can be something simple, like buying food or buying something that I am interested in. This method really helps me in maintaining my motivation to do something before the deadline. Moving on to the third quarter, I will practice stopping myself from procrastinating and maintaining discipline. It is the perfect time to do so, as after the exam, there will be a 1-week break. I will remember not to overwork myself and to take breaks. I hope to reduce my procrastination, even if just a little, for the third quarter.
